NRM Toolkit
The regional spatial information management toolkit has been developed to assist the Natural Resource Management (NRM) regions to obtain full value from their investment in the collection, management and use of spatial data.
The toolkit has been developed in close cooperation with stakeholders across the region and draws on information published in the natural resources information management toolkit by the National Land and Water Resources Audit (NLWRA) in 2003.
The toolkit has been written for all those involved in NRM activities, across a range of organisation or community groups, in the region. It can be used as a resource book by project managers and many others responsible for collecting, using and managing spatial data. It outlines the information management policies and procedures for the NRM regions and brings together other useful resources, tools and templates for accessing and managing spatial data and identifying standards for data collection.
